- Road test to verify complaint. Interface with vehicle electronics to pull fault codes and available data,compare to known good values. Research TSB's,recalls,and known pattern failures. Pinpoint testing of suspect components. Full code scan, full charging system test. battery charged for 2 hours. battery ok, alternator failed test. truck commanding 91% duty cycle but no voltage on l terminal of alternator. customer stated was at another shop for this issue and a pcm was replaced. possible pcm issue or wiring harness issue
